Carole King performed on the TODAY show Tuesday, August 25th with actors Chilina Kennedy and Abby Mueller. Chilina Kennedy is currently starring as Carole in the Broadway production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.  Abby Mueller will be playing the role of Carole concurrently in a new, national production beginning September 15, 2015 in Providence, Rhode Island.  (see schedule below)  

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of Carole King from her early days as a Brooklyn teenager named Carol Klein struggling to enter the record business to her years spent as a chart-topping music legend.

Chilina Kennedy, a native of Canada, made her Broadway debut as Mary Magdalene in the 2012 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. Abby Mueller, who hails from Chicago, previously performed in Broadway's hit Kinky Boots.  

New York City fans are encouraged to arrive at Rockefeller Plaza by 6 am for best viewing. TODAY airs daily on NBC from 7:00 - 10:00am.
