Light It Up Blue Campaign

Autism Speaks celebrates its international Light It Up Blue Campaign on April 2nd, World Autism Day and Carole King invites you to join her in raising awareness. 

Iconic landmarks, communities, businesses and homes by the thousands across the globe unite by shining blue lights in honor of the millions of individuals and families around the world affected by autism.   The United Nations adopted April 2nd each year as World Autism Awareness Day to shine a bright light on autism as a growing global health crisis.

It has been announced that Sony is set to bring a film adaptation of the Broadway musical, "Beautiful:The Carole King Musical" to the big screen.  

Tom Hanks and his producing partner Gary Goetzman will produce through their Playtone banner along with Paul Blake, the lead producer on Broadway.  Hanks and Goetzman are no strangers to musical films, having served as producers on the 2008 hit movie Mamma Mia! and 1996's That Thing You Do! which Hanks also directed.

Sherry Kondor and Christine Russell will executive produce.

It was announced March 9, 2015 that Broadway's "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" now playing at London's Aldwych Theater has received 8 nominations for the Olivier Awards, British theatre’s most sought-after awards marking theatrical greatness. 

The London production starring Katie Brayben (Carole King), Alan Morrissey (Gerry Goffin), Lorna Want (Cynthia Weil) and Ian MacIntosh (Barry Mann) opened late February to rave reviews.

Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as Mary Magdalene in the 2012 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, will succeed Tony winner Jessie Mueller in the title role of Broadway's smash hit Beautiful—The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the groundbreaking singer/songwriter.

Carole King joined fellow performers, actors and SeriousFun Campers (formerly known as Hole In The Wall Gang) as they celebrated the philanthropic legacy of founder Paul Newman’s 90th birthday in a star-studded gala fundraiser on March 2nd in NYC.
