LOS ANGELES, CA - In February of 1998, Carole King and many of her fellow musicians joined together to celebrate the life and music of Nicolette Larson, who had passed away three months prior. These shows, performed over the course of two nights at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, were recorded and were released as an album entitled 'A Whole Lotta Love.'

LOS ANGELES, CA - All-star performers including Carole King, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt and many more gathered in Los Angeles on February 8, 2006 to honor James Taylor as MusiCares' "Person of the Year." At this concert, Carole King performed a song that she wrote, "You've Got a Friend," which was a hit for both her and Taylor.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Carole King performed at the MusiCares 2006 Person of the Year event, which was held on February 6, 2006 in Los Angeles. Every year, MusiCares recognizes an individual to honor who has made extraordinary contributions in the field of music, as well as remarkable commitments to philanthropic and humanitarian causes.

This year's honoree is James Taylor. In addition to Carole, this star-studded event included performances from Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Paul Simon, the Dixie Chicks and many more.
