Carole King Joins Sheryl Crow in Performance at Earth Day Event in Washington DC

LOS ANGELES, CA - Carole King joined Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and comedian Larry David in participating at an Earth Day event April 22, 2007 on the George Washington University campus before an audience of 5,000 students. The historic event was the culmination of The Stop Global Warming Virtual March and Tour led by activist Laurie David and will feature musical and comedic performances, along with clips from the Academy Award-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, and pre-taped appearances by Senator John McCain and former Vice President Al Gore.

The tour began April 9th in Dallas, TX and ended in Washington D.C. as Crow & David visit eleven universities across the Southeastern United States in a bus fueled by bio-diesel to urge college students to become part of the movement to stop global warming and demand solutions from themselves, their schools and their country.

This Earth Day event marked a point in history where millions of concerned people are acknowledging and agreeing that the planet is in jeopardy and global warming must be stopped.

The event was free and open to GW students, faculty, and staff. Tickets, one ticket per GWorld card holder. For more information about the event go to http:stopglobalwarming.org/sgw_read.asp?id=1156142202007
