Louise Goffin Launches Brand New Podcast Called Song Chronicles
Songwriter, artist and producer, Louise Goffin has launched a BRAND NEW podcast called songchronicles.
Song Chronicles is a compelling oral history told through Louise's conversations with her fellow writers, musicians, producers and artists who create the music we know and love.
The first episode January 24. 2020, features Sam Hollander, a once academically-challenged teenager who became a songwriter and producer of multiple #1 hits. Sam's story will inspire parents of children--and the kids themselves--who are mischaracterized as "failing" in school when their gifts are not measured by standarized tests.
Episode 2, February 21, 2020, features Grammy-Winning Producer, Recording Artist and Songwriter, Desmond Child. From Aerosmith to Zedd, his songs have been recorded and performed by a wide variety of both entertainers and collaborators, defying genre limits, with superstars as diverse as Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks and Kermit the Frog just to name a few.
Episode 3, April 3, 2020, features Grammy-nominated J.D. Souther who was also Inducted into the Songwriter Hall of Fame. Souther has penned countless hits for The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Rou Orbison, James Taylor, Don Henley, George Strait, Trisha Yearwood and Brooks and Dunn, also found success as a solo artist. J.D.'s latest album Tenderness, produced by Larry Klein, connects "LA's golden age with the Great American Songtbook," writes Uncut, with songs that sound "like standards themselves."
Episode 4, May 18, 2020, proudly presents a conversation with American musician, songwriter and author, Kathy Valentine. Kathy was a member of the first, and to date, only all-female band that wrote their own songs and played their own instruments, topping Billboard charts at #1 and having one of the most successful debuts of all time. Kathy's inspiring and honestly told memoir, "All I Ever Wanted" was released March 31, 2020.
